In May of 2003, I spent 2 weeks in a cabin at Fort Worden, Port Townsend, WA, on a retreat to develop music that I had been creating through improvisation while playing for dance classes at Cornish College of the Arts. The results were presented in concert in a studio at Fort Worden on May 17, 2003. The pieces collected here best represent the structured improvisations that I was creating at the time.
